A few to mention but way to many to remember. CCR, The Animals, Rolling Stones and Steppingwolf for starters.

Just interested in what is playing before/during/after mission or training for people. This was my general playlist in country: personally, only 3 songs in this order- 1. Dirty Deeds (AC/DC), Pyromaniac (Def Leopard), Train kept a Rollin (Aerosmith), get pumped then focus

Alone time / mental prep:

Classical
Opera
Asian classical instruments
Movie scores

Group / Vehicle prep:

Rockabilly music
AC/DC
80s metal

Every time rolling out the gate:

America, Fuck Yeah!
*We used to play this on our PA system while rolling out until someone complained and we got 86ed from doing it anymore*

During mission :

80s metal, the more hair metal the better
Funny music to sing to

I must say... music really helped prep and deal with the missions. Listening to dumbass songs that everyone just laughed at and sang along with always kept our moral up in my truck, while everyone was always sour assed listening to their death metal 'kill em all!' Stuff. My favorite was always the alone prep, as the classical stuff always cleared my head.

Of course, your 1SG and commander tend to think you are a psycho when you are cleaning your M4 or Ma Deuce while listening to 'Moonlight Sonata', so tread carefully pilgrims.
