Hahahaha
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

i have noticed that every holiday season, people drive worse
and then do not improve much after the holidays
leading to a slow, but steady decline in driving skills

have you noticed how people have no idea what to do when an ambulance is coming up from behind them?

I think you have to remember that we live in Hawaii.

30% of the drivers are from other countries.

40% of the drivers are from the mainland.

30% are Hawaii drivers.

You guys have no clue, come to Kauai and see about poor drivers. Not necessarily aggressive  just plain stupid. 35mph in the 50 zone. When the light just turned red it means go cause you have a second or so before the green light traffic gets going. I actually wait when I get green lights just to make sure no one is racing through their red light. When the light is green the idiots slow down thinking its gonna change to yellow. Stop signs don't mean crap. They hurry to run the stop sign to get in front of you and then drive the 35 in the 50 as mentioned above. Yield signs actually get more stops than an actual stop sign. And finally, recently Kauai put in a few round-a-bouts on our island…are f***ing kidding me.

There's more, the newest thing is drifting way over lane lines when in turns/curves on the highway causing opposing traffic to have to move over so as not to get hit head on. Oh and when a jogger, cyclist or the like is on the shoulder instead of waiting for a clear lane to pass them drivers risk head on collisions by pushing  opposing traffic out of their right of way to get around the jogger, cyclist and such.

Wheeeew! I just had to get that off my chest. It surprises me, literally, that there are not more traffic related deaths on Kauai with how crazy, with out due regard for safety and or concern for others that Kauai people drive.

Ok stay safe drive safe and wear a helmet when you drive a car on Kauai.

I'm seriously considering a dash cam as well for liability purposes and avoid the he said/she said. Its getting nuts in town. I'm almost glad for all the potholes because people are racing down side streets and running over pedestrians. I lived I lived in cities with aggressive traffic but it doesn't seem like people here know what they are doing. It's like they get all mad and want to drive crazy but forget about the staying in control and actually getting somewhere part.
