Interesting as I've been looking at air rifles recently. I think the Benjamin Marauder is a better buy all around. For the about same price as just this upper, you can find a Marauder with pump and scope.

Curious, so if I take an 80% lower and machine just the portion of the trigger and leave the magazine well a solid block, is it still considered a firearm that will need to be registered?

My guess would be that it would be considered a firearm and could very well act as a single shot lower.

600 bucks for a non-match, non-regulated, single shot air gun which you can't shoot out side and you have to buy a lower for and reg it as a rifle?  are you high?  who in their right mind would buy this other then people with way too much money on their hands?

Crosman developed this originally for highpower shooters looking for a cheaper practice lternative.
I bought my CLE 22 upper for about $1100 and it has paid itself off considering I dont reload for practice.
Some shooters have used Noptel, Scatt for indoor practice and those are a few thousand dollars.

80% lowers come with the mag well already milled out. (Just milled one out last month)

So much for air gun shooting in your back yard without the neighbors going apeshit.
