The .22 version is a little lighter. lol. But I youtubed this gun, and it's got like flash suppressor/muzzle brake, handguards, etc. It'll also take AR mags, for what it's worth. Yeh this one isn't going to fly. lol.

It hits several on the arbitrary "assault" pistol radar, me thinks.

This looks so bad ass....and it's a pistol that eats .223........

Too damn bad =O(

 (1)  An ammunition magazine which attaches to the pistol outside of the pistol grip;

     (2)  A threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward hand grip, or silencer;

     (3)  A shroud which is attached to or partially or completely encircles the barrel and which permits the shooter to hold the firearm with the second hand without being burned;

     (4)  A manufactured weight of fifty ounces or more when the pistol is unloaded;

     (5)  A centerfire pistol with an overall length of twelve inches or more; or

I'm thinking you may only be getting hit on 1 and 4.

     (6)  It is a semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm;

You'd get hit on 5 too if it's the .223 version. I wonder if there is enough room to chop it back 6.5". That would free you of both 4 and 5. Just thoughts flowing here, it may not get you out of 4 because it states A manufactured weight of fifty ounces or more...

After checking back on the PLR-22, it looks like this one would slide in under the regs (minus the mag limit). The weight is 50 oz.

Awesome stuff. So who wants to buy it and take it to HPD....? lol

I know 1 is obviously unavoidable. But I saw some on youtube that will hit 2 and 3.

In order to pass #2, it has to have no threaded barrel that is capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward hand grip, or silencer; - I'm not sure on this one. From what I can tell, it is capable of accepting those thing.

#3 should be no problem. There's no "capable" or "manufactured" words in there. Even if it comes with some sort of shroud. Just rip it off and it's no longer a "assault" pistol. From the sounds of it anyway.

They usually say "This gun has a threaded barrel"
