Police: Bucks County man fired shot into neighbor's home to unload gun

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. --

Police in Pennsylvania say a man accused of shooting a bullet through a neighbor's window told a
judge he fired the gun because it was the only way he knew how to unload it.

Middletown Detective Patrick Nicastro tells the Bucks County Courier Times that 31-year-old
George Byrd IV of Penndel at first denied being behind the shooting but then acknowledged during
his arraignment that he fired the weapon to clear the chamber because he was unfamiliar with guns.

Actually, IMO, I think this is a direct result of the anti-gun campaign.  The have demonized the firearm so much it has become more and more difficult for average joe to get learned on firearms and ammunition.

This is a scary, sad, funny, and stupid story.
But you have to wonder how accurate the story is.
The shooter guy lied the first time.
Is he really telling the truth now?

I agree.  The dumb ass was probably messing around and forgot there was one in the chamber.  This was the only story that he could come up with.
