Couples talk about guns. Video by Cosmopolitan magazine.

What? You're imagining it being "bad". No. It's worse than that.

Granted Cosmo typically treats women as sex objects with superficial interests, but here they show them as ignorant demanding not-yet-moms.

Or maybe it's just me. Take a look. At least read the brief review by a woman writer at National Review Online: http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/433465/cosmopolitan-gun-video-women-stereotype

I'll just post this, although of course, as usual, we are all just preaching to the choir. But on the off chance some DEMOCRAT LIBERAL is reading this:

http://www.sweden.org.za/gun-laws-in-sweden.html

Guns are capable of harmful and fatal consequences;and gun laws are quite stringent in Sweden. To be a gun owner requires a license, and this is tightly controlled by regulations. A potential gun owner needs to meet requirements to be granted a license. Various forms of self-defence weapons or deadly weapons such as pepper-spray to full-automatic machine guns are technically legal. However, most licenses for gun ownership are for hunters, as wild life hunting is highly in vogue in this country.

It is illegal for a civilian in Sweden to carry a firearm, unless for a specific, legal purpose;such as hunting or attending shooting ranges. To transport firearms, there are rules to adhere to;the general regulations are that the gun must be unloaded, hidden and transported in a safe and secure way under supervision.

(Note: Protecting oneself is apparently not a specific legal purpose)

OK, so now the punchline:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rape_in_Sweden#Swedish_rape_statistics

Ever since the collation of crime statistics was initiated by the Council of Europe, Sweden has had the highest number of registered rape offences in Europe by a considerable extent. In 1996, Sweden registered almost three times the average number of rape offences registered in 35 European countries. However, this does not necessarily mean rape is three times as likely to occur as in the rest of Europe, since cross-national comparisons of crime levels based on official crime statistics are problematic, due to a number of factors described below.[11][28][29][30]

(Actually it is #2 in the world, after some place in Africa).

There are much worse YouTube videos and web pages but I just posted the Wiki page. The rapes are done by the "refugees". Gang rapes. I think it was 4000 rapes per year. So you figure out how many per day, how many per HOUR.

Here, in case anyone says I am exaggerating:

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/top-5-countries-highest-rates-rape-1434355

A 2010 Amnesty report said: "In Sweden, according to official crime statistics, the number of reported rapes has quadrupled during the past 20 years. In 2008, there were just over 4,000 rapes of people over 15, the great majority of them girls and women."

That actually implies some men and boys are raped too!

So, people deserve the government they ask for.

(The only unfortunate thing is that they drag down the rest of us thinking citizens into the liberal hellhole that they don't even realize they are digging).

All those men looked very uncomfortable, they were all on the ropes. Maybe they just weren't ready to articulate and express their reasons... or maybe the person editing the video cut it out. Are the full interviews available or is this it?

Are you implying that Cosmopolitan magazine might have an agenda to make men and women appear a certain way via editing? Why, that's utterly preposter... oh, wait, obvious. But, yeah, I'd really like to see all the footage, unedited, from the minute they walked onto the set. And the secret video taken in their car on the drive home.

They were idiots to be documented like that.

You can bend the footage to anything you like if you are allowed to edit a video.

Reminds me of that thing they did for 60 minutes or whoever, saying CCW doesn't work, giving the untrained kids super loose clothes that made it near impossible to draw their guns.

Maybe it's an April Fools joke. If not I hope those metros were paid a lot to be castrated in public like that.
It's possible the whole thing was staged, we will never know.
Note the ratio of likes to dislikes. It's 16 to 1 dislike

Here is a quote from the video description:
"Cosmopolitan is the best-selling young women's magazine in the U.S., a bible for fun, fearless females....."
Those young women sure don't sound fearless to me.

Try reading the comments. They're hilarious. Many of the dislike comments are from women.

First thing I noticed is that the girls' feet are positioned right in front of the males' crotch area.  Way to get an upper hand.

Didn't finish watching the video.
I think, therefore I am armed.

His partner seemed to be the most honest open one, the least condemning. It could be because she realizes him having a gun is part of his job so it isn't really negotiable.

But all of this is just speculation. We really know nothing about the circumstances of the discussion and the video is ultimately useless as it is.

Yup. They could just have been actors for all we know.

It certainly could have been actors, or at least partially scripted and certainly heavily edited. I haven't seen any confirmation, just speculation, that it is "fake".

What magazine will create a video of intelligent, informed, knowledgeable, trained women sharing with their partners their reasons for choosing (it's all about "choice", right?) to own and bear arms? One thing for sure, it won't be a "women's magazine".

It was a short video but hilarious. A great slap to the head to the Cosmo magazine
take a minute to watch it!
...
here is the video she was talking about:
http://www.cosmopolitan.com/politics/news/a53362/why-you-should-never-date-a-gunsplainer/

The guy with the gun is portrayed as an overbearing and obnoxious idiot.
