Two weeks ago I found out that it's time for the season of love and giving. I found out the same way I do every year; my wife said, "Cougar, get your sorry ass up on that roof and put up the Christmas lights! If you're coming back down, you'd better be finished or in free-fall!" The only good thing about it is I get to use the Little Giant ladder I got for Christmas last year. Can't say enough about that ladder. It was only a hundred bucks, which is a bit steep, but soooo worth it. Need a four-foot stepladder? Check. Eight foot stepladder? Check. Anything in between? Check, check. Wish the back legs of your stepladder were vertical instead of slanted? Oh, you bet your sweet cheeks the Little Giant can do it. "But how will I get all the way up to the roof with that thing," you ask? Easy, friend. Lay the amazing Little Giant ladder out straight and you've got an extension ladder that extends up to fourteen feet! "But Cougar, where shall we keep it?!?" Dang near anywhere you want, that's where! This thing folds up to about 4'Hx2'Wx8"D!
It also can come apart into two pieces, so you can combine a length of plank somehow and have a little mini-scaffold like three or four feet high, although I've never had occassion to use that feature. The thing's even got a two little in-line skate wheels so you don't have to carry it! Just lean and roll. Man I love that ladder!
The infomercial was BS, though. Remember how that lady would throw the thing around one-handed? Not even close. It probably weighs about fifty pounds or so; so you show me a petite woman that can throw that thing around one-handed with a smile on her face, and I'll show you what performance-enhancing drugs do.
