Best quote from today's Ceremony.

Adm. Harry B. Harris, Jr

In his keynote speech, Adm. Harry B. Harris, Jr., commander of U.S. Pacific Command, elicits a standing ovation as he honored the Pearl Harbor veterans, saying they “never took a knee” when they heard the national anthem.

I became engrossed in watching countless youtube videos on the subject last night and  watched the ceremonies live this a.m. One thing that is often overlooked are the 49 civilians killed and 35 wounded. A number of them were innocent women and children who perished as 5-inch anti aircraft shells failed to operate properly and exploded around town as they hit the ground during and following the attack as military personnel reportedly shot at anything and everything that moved, including, at times, their own.

It is my understanding that the POTUS "flew" over Hawaii and Pearl Harbor that day on his way to Japan with it's PM to do a showing at Hiroshima/Nagaski..  :'( ..... ......:grrr:
Said he'll check out Pearl when he comes back to Hawaii for vacation.  :wtf:
