I find it really difficult to have conversations as time goes on as people (and society et al) decide the accepted vocabulary no longer means what is did since certain words were created.
Reminds me of the CLASSIC comedy routine from Steve Martin:  "May I mambo dogface to the banana patch?"
Be courteous, kind and forgiving
Be gentle and peaceful each day
Be warm and human and grateful
And have a good thing to say

Be thoughtful and trustful and childlike
Be witty and happy and wise
Be honest and love all your neighbors
Be obsequious, purple, and clairvoyant

Be pompous, obese, and eat cactus
Be dull, and boring, and omnipresent
Criticize things you don't know about
Be oblong and have your knees removed

Be tasteless, rude, and offensive
Live in a swamp and be three dimensional
Put a live chicken in your underwear
Get all excited and go to a yawning festival

Is it really a hypothetical? We have people like John Mccain, Rand Paul, and others who do vary from center. I don't think John Mccain is obligated to support the president if Mccain's position, and thus by extension his constituent's positions, differs significantly from Trump.

Congress doesn't know what their constituents want.  It's impossible for them to know what tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people think about every issue.

They cater to the special interests , big donors and party platform.  We've been under-represented in DC since the ratio of constituents to reps passed 10,000 to 1.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Good morning covfefe!
"morning joe" and his fiance at their very best! Telling us what the we should be thinking about (her job, according to mika).

‘Not Worth Doing’: Morning Joe Laughs Off Kathy Griffin Story Before Moving On To ‘Covfefe’ Analysis

http://www.mediaite.com/online/not-worth-doing-morning-joe-laughs-off-kathy-griffin-story-before-moving-on-to-covfefe-analysis/

In what world is a mistyped word in a presidential tweet more newsworthy than a viral image of a known comedian holding a bloodied and disembodied head of the sitting president? The studios at MSNBC apparently.

In the first hour of Morning Joe on Thursday, the gang decided to discuss a Wall Street Journal article lamenting the decline of lunch — and we learned quite a lot about lunch habits. The New York Times’ Michael S. Schmidt said he was so busy he didn’t even eat it.

His Times colleague Nicholas Confessore seemed to agree even noting that he “missed the Kathy Griffin news last night.”

That was a third rail for Mika Brzezinski.

“Ok. We’re not talking about it,” she said to a round of laugher on the set. “I’m sorry it’s too gross. It’s just not worth doing.”

Not worth doing? Interesting.

On Wednesday, during the show, the President of the United States called out Griffin on Twitter saying that the image of the comedian holding a mock up of his decapitated head had traumatized his 11-year-old son Barron Trump.

That Tweet (so far) has not been worth covering on Morning Joe or MSNBC.

The president’s other Tweets, however, focusing on Carter Page and the the true meaning of “covfefe’ did come in for analysis during the broadcast.

After they were done snickering at the Kathy Griffin news, Brzezinski and Co. moved back to the issue of lunch and then offered this tease of where the show was going next!

“We’ll ask award winning linguist, Nicholas Confessore to help us break down the word covfefe.”

You know — coverage that’s worth doing!

You can’t make it up.
