Range Fees Final Reading
« on: February 13, 2012, 11:26:24 PM »
Bill 60 which establishes FEES for quote 'CERTAIN' Facilities . Currently it states that the city charges a fee of $15 bux per hour to organizations using said facilities that require an attendant or custodian services. This bill would LIMIT the fee for use OUTSIDE of NORMAL OPERATING Hours.

and Bill 1 would Exempt nonprofit organizations from said fees of Bill 60. Gotta love Politics where you need a bill to exempt a bill from a bill.

Anywho these are the bills that would specifically affect Koko Head. All moneys collected will go into the city's General Fund NOT back into range maintenance.  :shaka:

Both bills will have their 3rd and final readings and public input this Wednesday during the full council mtg. My question? When does any range club / user use Koko Head or are allowed to use the range AFTER normal operating hours anyway?  ???

Night shoots, which were allowed until recently, and will hopefully be allowed again soon, would certainly qualify.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

They need to pick up the pace on this; I have been patient with the City and them creating rules, but they are really taking their time.  There was already something in place for this.
