City Council passes law banning enforcement of unconstitutional anti-gun laws (Read 1153 times)

(Of course I mean "anti-rights, as in the Constitutionally-protected rights to keep and bear arms", but that was too long to fit into the subject header.) In this case, specifically the new "regulations" that will come into effect with the passage of Washington state's I-1639. Previously the police chief had said that he would not enforce it because it is unconstitutional, and that he had taken oaths of office to uphold the Constitution both as a military member and as police chief, and he was bound and determined to abide by those oaths. What a difference geographical location makes! I have written every single county council person here (Hawaii County) over the past several years asking them to pass (just) a resolution suggesting that the chief of police issue licenses to ordinary law-abiding people to bear arms outside their homes and businesses  for the purpose of self-defense. Not one single one of them ever showed the courtesy to even acknowledge receipt of the email, much less comment on it. And here in Washington you have a police chief and city council de facto nullifying the law. Can't wait to see if any retaliatory actions are taken by the progressive socialists in response.
