Every time SCOTUS releases an Orders List I download all of the pdfs filed in those cases were cert was denied and if they appear on the docket AND are searchable, I search all of the filings to see if the Second Amendment was mentioned an then check those filings with a match to see if the case is really about the Second Amendment. If it was about the Second Amendment then I post a link to to the SCOTUS docket for the case on my California Open Carry lawsuit status page.
There was no Orders List released today as the justices were on vacation last week. The next SCOTUS private conference is this Thursday (Orders Lists are typically published the following Monday). But a Brief in Opposition was filed today in what may be the final Second Amendment "carry" case filed before SCOTUS goes on vacation at the end of June, Gould v. Morgan (Massachusetts).
There was a Second Amendment case recently argued out of New York (Federal 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals) but I suspect the panel in that case is going to reserve judgment until another carry case is decided. There is another appeal in the pipeline out of New York and one out of Maryland (4th circuit). Neither of them will be decided in time for a cert petition to be filed this term.
Which means unless there has already been a Second Amendment cert petition filed with SCOTUS then the only two
carry cases I am aware of for this term are the two out of New Jersey and Massachusetts; Rogers v. Grewal and Gould v. Morgan.
Here is a link to my status page. The SCOTUS links are toward the bottom of the page.
