Pepper Ball Guns?
« on: July 14, 2020, 07:33:24 PM »
Saw an advertisement for byrna pepper ball guns. Are those legal to carry? Not considered a firearm, is non lethal, don’t see any laws against it after doing a quick google search. But perhaps I missed something because our state likes to make it as difficult as possible for people to legally defend themselves.

If it is legal, would brandishing it be considered as threatening someone with lethal force because it looks like a gun?

I already had a Tippmann TipX paintball pistol and I bought some pepperballs and hard plastic balls for it in Las Vegas a few years back.  Very powerful pistol if you crank the adjuster up to where one CO2 cyl will give only about 18 shots.  These paintball guns are not cheap and pepperballs are expensive, but they can deliver a load 40 to 50 feet away.
Far greater distance than even bear spray.
