*New*: Requires disclosure of name, address, and phone number for transferor and transferee of a firearm.
*New*: Forces all firearm permit holders to identify a specific doctor that holds any current/past medical records.
No more “I don’t have a doctor” excuses.
*New*: Non-doctors such as physician assistants/nurses can disclose your medical info.
Expands broad Sensitive Places where CCW is banned.
Bans CCW at restaurants that sell alcohol, libraries, all beaches, all public parks (except Kokohead Range), and public transit vehicles such as TheBus/Rail.
Continues ban on parking lots.
*New* Bonus Ban 1: now includes ban on voting center/polling place parking lots.
*New* Bonus Ban 2: any public gathering/assembly/special event open to the public. That means, no CCW at Rallies/Marathons/New Year’s Celebration/Holiday Festivals/Marches, etc.
Continued $150 fee for initial concealed carry weapons (CCW) license
Continued $50 for CCW renewals.
Still requires vehicle safe for firearm storage.
Still requires firearms proficiency training every 4 years.
Still lists subjective Essential Character/Temperament standards.
Still bans CCW carry on private property open to the public without express authorization.
Still expands HPD’s authority to examine all of your past health care providers to review all of your past mental health history.
Still expands reasoning for firearm permit denials, including late firearms registration.
Still forces firearm instructors to teach about mental health, suicide prevention, and domestic violence.
