When they start conscripting illegal aliens with promises of citizenship I'm sure lots will show up on the black market
I’m becoming clinically undepressed and thinking about beginning it all.

I checked out the comments on the YT Channel.  One of them said "I am slowly beginning to despise our government".

Must be slow people. I have despised government as long as
I can remember. Any government.
I've proven to be a fine upstanding member of society my entire life,
68 year now, but I despise government.
I despise people that presume to tell me what to do,
when those things are un-ethical and immoral.
Ethics is putting people before riches.
Morality is defined by God's laws.

I am the same age as you.
I'm also an upstanding member of society.
I agree with most of what you wrote.
However, if there were no government,  then there would be no society to be a member of.
It's a necessary part of evolution.
Without government, we would be like plankton floating in the ocean.
Thimk about it.

All you folks on this forum should have seen this coming years ago and stockpiled accordingly.
Little by little is ok. It's not too late.

I'm always wondering, why does an American citizen have to stockpile ammo?

It's like our own government is denying us our right to the 2nd amendment with this never-ending war on firearm restrictions on law abiding citizens and now on ammunition.

Our own government.  This is nuts.

Buying a box here and there on payday should be the norm.  There never should be a "fear" of one day ammunition will be scarce or unavailable.

We need a POTUS who understands what "Shall Not Be Infringed" means.

You create a stockpile because you're not the only law abiding citizen who'll be looking for ammo when something urgent happens.  You don't want to be standing in line at the local gun store hoping to grab a few boxes of ammo before they sell out.

Also, ammo availability is more a function of supply and demand.  When prices go up, people start stockpiling more to avoid any shortages and price increases.  Others buy it up hoping to sell it for more.  That creates an even higher demand and constricted supply.

Hawaii is in a worse situation than the mainland.  We can't easily or affordably order ammo off the Internet.  That means we have to use local vendors or fly to another state and bring ammo back.

The alternative is having the means and knowledge to load your own.  Even then, powder and primers are almost as difficult to buy, but much easier to stockpile.  When was the last time anyone in media reported on someone having thousands of primers or empty cartridge cases?  Yet, they will report on thousands of rounds of live ammo in an attempt to make the person sound dangerous and/or crazy.
