I think it is appropriate for Macron to greet the US service members, as France will be forever grateful for that June 6th landing that started the end of their occupation by Nazi Germany.

The DNC supports this beacuse these are future voters. Them, their children and so on.  the DNC mainly relies on emotion to get votes and pass things. Which shows the intelligence of their voters.
