How accurate is this guy?

I've seen several other sources stating there are special sessions tentatively set for August, September and/or November based on the Federal budget cuts being suggested.

Nakamura added that lawmakers are looking at dates at the end of August,
September, and the week before Thanksgiving, as three possible five-day
blocks to set aside if they would need to return to a special session.

"At this point, the priority will be the budget. It is a limited time. It requires
members to be on the same page, because there's not any room in the five-day
block for amendments," Nakamura explained.

Seems to me a 5-day window is too compressed to draft, publicize, and vote on gun issues with no amendments -- and that's on top of the budget issues driving the special sessions. 

Given how flawed the last few major gun control bills were, I can't imagine them getting one to pass and ready for signature with zero amendments.

His details were only half fake.  The timing of the special sessions and the budget concerns are legit. 

Maybe he did that to give his April Fool's Day joke plausibility?

I saw at the end where he said, "

I read this at the end:

But it’s not. It’s a bad April Fools joke, that’s not funny at all.

It’s not a joke.

it's a joke that's not a joke.  That was pretty cryptic.
