This would seem to be a counter for a ban on 30 round magazines and lend credence to the argument that you can just reload and a magazine ban is stupid.

so essentially, he might very well have just used 10 rounders anyway, and done the exact same thing.

I agree completely, but I also believe that the UK media is trying to continue spreading the fear of guns within it's own population. The last thing the UK wants is for the population of it's welfare state to find out they can care for themselves.

Just my opinion guys and girls, but we should be careful about making the arguement "xxx killer could have killed just as many people with 10 round mags.  He didn't even need the 30 rounds to commit these murders..."  It seems to argue against the ban on 30 rd mags but it does even more, it could be twisted to argue that all magazine fed weapons are bad.  I sure as heck don't want that message being sent out.  This is just what crossed my mind when I heard the arguement.

The thing is that something like 15% of Americans support a handgun ban.  Since the vast majority of handguns on the market are semi-autos, there's not much reason for concern that the gun grabbers will try to grab all of them, but if they do it would be the best thing for us. 

Besides, I'm sure this story is bogus.  Everyone knows that when you change magazines every 10 rounds, someone will overwhelm the shooter, because even highly trained infantry units can only manage two or maybe three reloads per minute... Oh, wait, it's not 1825 anymore.  Reloads take all of three seconds even if you suck balls nowadays.  I think the guy I saw on youtube who had no arms and loaded and shot a 1911 with his feet probably took about twenty seconds.  If that guy decides to massacre people we'll have a chance!
