I saw the video. Just some observations. When "they" take our guns, there WILL BE NO MORE GUNS !!! This is not a "for now" thing going on. It will be permanent.Everything he talks about we are already doing. "They" ARE NOT LISTENING !!!!! This gun ban is not until we work something out. READ MY LIPS- NO MORE GUNS. How the hell are we to demand anything unarmed. They dont listen now and we are armed. This is about total take over of the U.S. Tyranny ! They know no compromise. Got it ????????

He did not say to give all of them up lol. I posted this to display his calm outlook on things :) even if you don't agree 100% it's always good to take something from the video.

So when they come with the list of guns registered to you do you really think they'll just allow you to give them whatever you want and keep the rest? Pretty sure they're going to want everything on the list and will tear your place apart until they find them all. And I wouldn't be surprised that they tear everyone's place apart anyway just because you MIGHT have an unregistered weapon. You can tell them you lost them or they were stolen, but if you haven't reported that they'll tear your place apart and no doubt have dogs and detection devices to give your outdoor property at least a scan. That guy in the video needs to come to Hawaii or another state that requires "permits to acquire" and full registration (even of "unusable" and "unserviceable" firearms) and then explain how he is going to get away with only relinquishing a portion of what's on his list. I'm also pretty sure that no one knows exactly how such a confiscation scenario would actually unfold, but I'd guess that an "incremental" approach would be attempted first, before door to door en masse searches. See "Connecticut": On January 1 anyone who has not registered the required firearms will be a felon. The process (exactly which specific weapons and the registration process itself... requires notary public witness your signing of documents, etc.) is unclear. The government is NOT directly informing you that you need to register your particular weapon(s), you're just supposed to know what law was passed. And if you don't, and don't comply, then you are a felon, thus relinquishing your right to own any firearm, ever. I expect this sort of "confiscation" to proceed and spread before it gets to the point of the SWAT units going door to door with the registry lists. But who knows, it might start tomorrow.

It's a scary situation. I guess no one knows how it will happen but being open minded and being prepaired is a great start.
You can always bury things.... You can come from out of state and not register said items... There is always a solution. Btw not that I'm thinking about it but what is the penalty for not registering a firearm here in Hawaii? I was just curious.. Can you point me to an HRS.

I'm sure you could find the law yourself. But just in case:

Hawaii Revised Statutes 134-17 - Penalties

 (c)  Any person who violates section 134-2, 134-4, 134-10, 134-15, or 134-16(a) shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.  Any person who violates section 134-3(b) shall be guilty of a petty misdemeanor and the firearm shall be confiscated as contraband and disposed of, if the firearm is not registered within five days of the person receiving notice of the violation.

I don't see anything specific about unregistered firearms seized during a search, but assume it'd be something similar to the above.

Preperations could be done with this in mind... Keeping it legal.
According to      §134-3  Registration, mandatory, exceptions.

"(d)  Registration shall not be required for:
     (1)  Any device that is designed to fire loose black powder or that is a firearm manufactured before 1899;"
