When discussing Dillon 550b .308 reloading with a friend, he mentioned that the powder bar would overflow due to roughness of bar and recommended polishing it to solve the problem.
Before modifying a brand new piece, I contacted Dillon and here is their reply...
"The powder bars are Teflon coated. Don’t polish them.
Any jamming is in the powder funnel, not the bar.
The bar will shear through powder granules, but if you slow your handle cycle speed so it takes at least one full second to move the powder bar, you won’t have any problems with 308."
I have yet to set up for .308, but will let you know when I do
