I don't know if anybody has looked into the legality of doing this or not.  My guess is that the C&C of Honolulu whould prohibit it, yet they won't build a concession stand either.  Maybe the silhouette area, being a club, could host a truck? I look forward to your responses!

There's been food trucks at the shooting sports fair, I wouldn't see why not any others weekend.

Voted yes, but reality is it would depend on how good the food is.

Certainly a better option than the nothing we have now!

Some vendors said that the volume wasn't enough.

i would think if they were able to funnel some of the traffic in the area and the food was decent they could make a go of it. lot of traffic going to hanauma, sandy's, etc.

Could have a larger range parking lot or multiuse area.  Install picnic tables and benches.  Have a bunch of food trucks here for lunch and put signage at the surrounding areas.

From my understanding they are not allowed to use parks for commercial activity without a facilities use permit, the fees would be huge to the point it would not be worth it,

Typical C&C stifling small business with more draconian oversight, fees, and hoops to jump through. It's what they do best.

so does the silhouette club have a permit?
I believe the Silhouette Club is a Non-Profit organization that operates under a charter. The fees they collect go back to the maintenance of the targets and structures. They have their own lawn mowers and weedwackers to keep the grass down. They cut and weld metal for targets. They built their own benches and fabricated the brass deflectors. They also host a great fun match and BBQ.

I wouldn't ask too many questions because it might destroy a good thing.
