There used to be markers on the H1 east by pearl city.
Anybody know where there might be another set?

I thought Pali Hwy has some but haven't paid attention recently. Why do you ask?

Virtually any variety of GPS receiver can display velocity over ground.  Just compare that to the speedo reading.

If it is the odometer you want to verify, just use Google Earth and find some easy to spot landmarks along a fairly straight section and use the distance tool to measure it.  The longer a "baseline" you select, the more accurate, i.e. go for well over one mile if you can find a good stretch, so any offset will be more apparent.

As stated above a GPS will give your ground speed. I want to say I saw some painted on the H1 viaduct westbound.

Is this related to the video you posted?

If you tape a late model Blizzard Pearl Prius next time then just ask how fast I was going!

Well as it turns out, my son had a garmin gps unit that gives ground speed.
My speedo matches exactly.
So I know my calculations on speeding cars are pretty accurate.
