March Against Sharia -- March for Human Rights... but not in Hawaii (Read 3731 times)

Not surprising really, but no march scheduled for anywhere in Hawaii... and it's only three days away. I guess the social justice warriors around here support the "cultural diversity" of female genital mutilation and throwing gays off buildings and beheading wives for filing for divorce. I just don't get why the "feminists" and "LGBT community" are virtually silent on these muslim "traditions"... maybe they're afraid Hillary will call them "islamophobes"?

March Against Sharia -- March for Human Rights

http://www.actforamerica.org/rally

On Saturday, June 10, 2017, ACT for America is having March Against Sharia events in cities across the nation.

This is a march against Sharia law and for human rights. Our nation is built on the freedom of religion -- a pillar of our democracy -- which we must always respect, protect, and honor. However many aspects of Sharia law run contrary to basic human rights and are completely incompatible with our laws and our democratic values.

We, at ACT for America, are committed to protecting women and children from Sharia Law and its impact on Muslim women and children including honor killing and Female Genital Mutilation. We must ensure that every woman and child enjoy the protection afforded by the U.S. Constitution.

Below is information about why Sharia is incompatible with Western democracy and the freedoms it affords, as well as the addresses for each march location, including a link to the Facebook event.

Please share this information with your family, friends, and mark your calendars for Saturday, June 10. #MarchAgainstSharia

Our State officials wouldn't want to discourage any tourist dollars from those Sharia Law countries.

Still nothing for Hawaii in the list of locations, but the map shows a "pin" on Kauai, but no specific info.

You think a religion that has a doctrine of "taqiyya" (deception/lying is acceptable in "defense" of the religion or to achieve it's goals) is going to have a "Ask a Muslim" table where a non-muslim will be given honest, truthful answers? Might as well have asked a closeted American Communist agent in the U.S. in the 1950s if they supported the overthrow of the U.S. government...

The Female Genital Mutilation, and throwing LGBTs off buildings while shouting allahu akbar is just a coincidence? And then shouting the same thing while beheading reporters? Etc. Please, spare me.

Anti-Shariah rallies planned across US worry Muslim leaders

Aneelah Afzali, who heads a Seattle-area group that works against discrimination and hate crimes, said she will be putting up an "ask a Muslim booth" near Seattle's anti-Shariah rally, "so people can ask questions directly about Islam, and we can counter conspiracy theories, accusations and lies that come from that hate rally."

I somehow doubt the Massive Women March that waddled around a few months ago will be part of this.

waddled around....

According to this news story there were more people supporting sharia law than opposing it.

Apparently, the American women who are pro Sharia have no idea what it is.  It does benefit men however...

Significant portions of "American" muslims favor sharia law over the Constitution. There would be no penalty for Female Genital Mutilation under that regime of law. Women and LGBTs are relegated to "second class" status at best, having far fewer rights than muslim men. I just listened to a 7 minute report this morning on NPR talking about the treatment of gay men in Chechnya (94% muslim), where they are often beaten if not killed. In the entire seven minutes the reporter only said the word "muslim" twice, and never uttered the word "islam".

Even if you think this poll and/or the organization that sponsored it are "islamophobes", there are other polls from Pew and other more "mainstream" polling organizations that confirm the results within a few points. Even if the poll is off, on the over-estimate side, by a factor of 10, that would still leave thousands of muslims in the U.S. who believe that "the use of violence in the United States is justified in order to make shariah the law of the land". (The poll cited "nearly one fifth" suported such violence. Of the 3.3 million American muslims, that would be 660,000. If the poll was off by a factor of 10 (almost impossible given other polls by other organizations) that would be 66,000 who believe violence is justified to establish sharia law in the U.S. That's a LOT of potential damage...).

* * * * *
According to the just-released survey of Muslims, a majority (51%) agreed that “Muslims in America should have the choice of being governed according to shariah.”  When that question was put to the broader U.S. population, the overwhelming majority held that shariah should not displace the U.S. Constitution (86% to 2%).

More than half (51%) of U.S. Muslims polled also believe either that they should have the choice of American or shariah courts, or that they should have their own tribunals to apply shariah. Only 39% of those polled said that Muslims in the U.S. should be subject to American courts.

Even more troubling, is the fact that nearly a quarter of the Muslims polled believed that, “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.”

Nearly one-fifth of Muslim respondents said that the use of violence in the United States is justified in order to make shariah the law of the land in this country.

https://www.centerforsecuritypolicy.org/2015/06/23/nationwide-poll-of-us-muslims-shows-thousands-support-shariah-jihad/

About 14% of Muslims in the nations surveyed (and 8% of Muslims in the US [264,000]) said violence against civilians is "often" or "sometimes" justified.

Agree.

I watched some of the rally in NY. Gavin McInnis was one of the speakers that was making sympathizers (women) squirm in disbelief. He spoke for the first portion of the video.
