maybe Alison is the name of her favorite accessory? After all, she did work hard at the Y, and was always hanging out there.

she will refer you to her legal counsel - Alison Lee Wong

That just sounds all wrong.

Bet you she still won't issue CCW permits.

Oh, I won't be holding my breath on that one. Haven't heard anything to suggest where she would stand on that specific issue.

But inconsistent. If we agree that federal trumps state and county then by that standard, they should arrest state employers, employees and legislators that facilitate this program.

Ha!

Never really thought about that.

If we're going "technically" then they're all aiding and abetting the distribution of illegal Class 1 drugs.

Would that be racketeering since since they set up a "criminal" enterprise?

OK, so what I am getting is that 2A people in Hawaii (not necessarily saying this forum) want to follow Fed Laws when it comes to possible CCW reciprocity, but want to follow State law when it comes to Marijana?

I'm for following all laws. I was brought up in the Nancy Reagan era. Just say no. Oh and SSG Barnes too...."I am reality"

Why should only the Fed and the State get to pick and choose what laws they follow and enforce?

I'm just thinking if they're really going to enforce marijuana laws as written by the Fed, go all in.
Arrest all the doctors who prescribe it, the legislators who legalized it, the State workers who manage it, the owners, growers and employees of the dispensaries.
All in violation of Federal Law.
With heavy penalty for distribution.
If they're paying State taxes on it it's racketeering all the way up to the State which is profiting from illegal narcotic sales.

I don't smoke weed so I have no real dog in the fight, but their selective enforcement is a farce.
They only enforce it against 2A practicers?
Not to mention people can take Demerol, OxyContin, Xanax, Prozac etc. And still own firearms.

P.S. I understand HPD is only enforcing State law. So they should change the State law re: LEGAL ( under State law) marijuana users.
And nothing in State law that I'm aware of says CCW is illegal if you have a permit to carry. Fed law would just make out of state permits valid in Hawaii.
