Went to see Avengers last night and they had special duty HPD there in the lobby.  This put my mind a little more at ease especially with all the crazies out there now.  And since Hawaii doesn't issue CCW's, we are totally defenseless against an active shooter.

Talked to him and he was super cool.  Offered to buy food/drink but he declined.  Said the theater already fed him.  Thanked him for being there.  The movie finished at 1230 and he was still there.

Theater uses HPD because they serve alcohol now.  They couldve used cheaper security guards.

Can the police be used to escort out the mothers who take their infants into the none crying theaters?  At Avengers, it took 5 minutes before the crying started. I never took my children to a non G rated movie, maybe a few PG shows at the drive in. There have been many times when a nearby four year old keeps asking her mom repeatedly what he's doing to the lady. I want to say "he's about to stick his penis in her vagina" but I resist.

Maybe they made a deal with certain officers. Unlimited movies & snacks for you and family.  Just work couple nights a month. :popcorn:

Family of 4 spends easily $100 for 1 movie.
