I lost my affidavit stating that i completed the handgun safety course. I took the class with some guy that i cant remember his name and deleted his number out of my phone years ago. ls there a list of nra instructors that i could scroll through somewhere in hopes that i can contact him? I really want to avoid paying for the class again but I do want to buy another hand gun.
Gun control means using both hands.

hope you get another affidavit
Hunter's ed class from DLNR is free

If you took the class through an organization (LIFE, a local gun store, anything like that), you can contact that organization and have a pretty decent chance of tracking down the instructor. I don't think NRA publicizes a list of instructors, though.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

If you cant work it out go get your hunters ed certificate, they keep them on record and are easily replaced.

as fort finding out who did it, Go to HPD and ask them, i believe they make copies and keep them on file.

They will claim that they "lost" it.  Then ask them, well if I already have 1 handgun and you have the paper trail that I bought it in Hawaii post 2000ish, I must have took the class and stuff.

you might try calling HPD firearms first, talk to one of the clerks.  they are much more helpful.

May be one day we will be like many mainland states......no permit, waiting time or registration required.

Sorry, I just woke up and was dreaming.

If you took an official NRA course (6hrs classroom + 2 hrs range) then NRA should have you recorded in their database so you can call them for this information.  If you took the state safety course (4hrs classroom + 2 hrs range) then they won't have it on file.
