Meeting place to purchase ammunition

Aloha!
Newbie here... I wanted to find out where would be a legal place to purchase ammo from a private party. For example, would a shopping mall parking lot considered legal where neither the buyer nor seller work or live there?
Mahalo to those who can share insight.

No.

Treat ammo like a firearm.

The law on ammunition reads similar to firearms and includes:

Quote
provided that it shall be lawful to carry ammunition in an enclosed container from the place of purchase to the purchaser's place of business, residence, or sojourn, or between these places upon change of place of business, residence, or sojourn, or between these places and the following:

So, if you're buying ammo, you're probably covered.  Nothing says the "place of purchase" must be a licensed business.

If you're selling, give the ammo to the buyer immediately.  No longer yours.   :geekdanc:  But seriously, if you absolutely want to follow the statute (nobody here does anything illegal), then plan to meet at a range, gun shop, police station, or firearm training location.  Or the buyer can stop by the seller's residence.  Once he buys it, it's again going from "place of purchase".

Not a Lawyer, blah, blah, your own risk.   :shaka:
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
