I may cross some lines I cannot see,
but this congress critter is a "keeper".
Too bad we don't have such people
in Hawaii.

From my observations, it appears even when we get smart, conservative, brave GOP members of Congress, the tools they have at their disposal to dish out retribution for bad actors are impotent.  People come into hearings and lie their butts off.  Nothing happens.  Members of Congress incite the public to seek out and attack anyone they see who doesn't agree with them (they'll tell you to get in their face and use words, but isn't that a form of provocation?).

There's nothing being done to the real troublemakers and lawbreakers, because the Congress can't do much short of voting to kick someone out.  That almost never happens when the bad actor is in the majority of their congressional chamber.

One GOP member was just censured for sharing an anime meme of him battling AOC and Pelosi.  Really?  Is that a crime?  What about Swalwell sleeping with a Chinese spy?  Feinstein having a Chinese spy working for her for 20 years?  Biden getting money from China through his son?

There's a premise that you aren't supposed to focus the DOJ on political rivals, even if they are breaking the law.  They are part of your party and must be protected.  It doesn't matter which party is in power at the time.  "Professional Courtesy" seems to prevent minority members from being investigated, too.

Without the DOJ, there really isn't much they can do in Congress but hold hearings, point out bad acts, and refer the matter to the DOJ or FBI where it dies.

Still waiting on the final Russia-Collusion report from John Durham.  We know who the mastermind of the hoax was, but so far little seems to indicate the truly guilty will ever be held accountable.

Two different systems of justice:  One for us, and NONE for them.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
