I was gonna share this, but didn't know how to properly word it.

TL;DR version: Guy straw purchases revolver for "friend" because she can't. Days later she uses handgun to commit suicide. Her family is now suing ADCO for selling the guy the revolver.

too much litigation in this country.  at some point, our country took a serious wrong turn for the worse.

it's so bad, that now, to defend our rights, we have to have anti-litigation litigators, like HIFICO.  props to HIFICO for fighting the good fight on our behalf.

and F the ACLU.  They've really gone astray.

How are they going to prove intention? Sounds like quite a stretch.

Reading the complaint, the accusations seem flimsy.  ADCO knew or should have known it was a straw purchase.  There were red flags indicating the gun was for her, not Zohn.

Everything can be neatly and directly attributed to the people in a position to stop the sale, but that doesn't mean the "red flags" at the time presented a clear picture of anything.  There's no list of "signs" for FFLs to use, and when one is observed, KILL THE SALE!!

The complaint makes a lot of conclusions and accusations, but it's rather lacking in facts that support the conclusions.

Hindsight ... Monday morning quarterbacking .... whatever we call it, it's the same -- criticizing someone after all the information is known (including the suicide itself) even though most of the "signs" were up for interpretation.  Yeah, NOW we might not have sold the gun, but was there enough real proof it was a straw purchase at the time of the sale?

Will be interesting to hear if there are any facts in the case that were actual big, red, honking flags.
