Pellet guns are a blast.  You can get terrific accuracy, quality practice, and the happy feeling of shooting.

They are legal to shoot on your property if you keep the pellet in your yard...

Quite a few years ago I purchased one of these Umarex revolvers. It won't break the bank and the trigger is pretty good.  It took about 5000 shots but I was able to get the double action trigger down. I wore the first one out and Umarex sent me a new one.  Accuracy is sufficient.  I was able to get 40 rounds out of one CO2 shooting three shot strings...pause for a short while and shoot again with 4 shots on the last string.

The old school break barrels can be very accurate too and the only thing you need are pellets.  This gun is from the early 1980's.

CO2 can be purchased in bulk and it's pretty cheap if you go that route.

They make some really nice semi auto rifles and pistols now with Steyr being olympic level quality. (Pro X, Hunting 5 Auto, LP50)

I ordered one of those kraut rifles and arms still patiently waiting. Hopefully the factory is still running.

Right on.  I heard Germany was banned on making powder burners after WW2 so they put their skills to work with air rifles.  These days I'm into the semi auto air guns.  But, the single shots are definitely fun and accurate.  I had an Anschutz 10 meter air rifle.  Great quality but very heavy.

Here's my Steyr LP50.  Perfect back yard target shooter.

The $teyr LP50 costs more (> $2200) than my S&W Performance Center competition pistol. That had to be ordered from the mainland. The number of Steyr dealers in HI is probably more limited. Also, who sells 4.49 Eley Tenex on Oahu?

There must be less expensive ways to meet a shooting companion.
