thank HPD for infringing on our rights is totally F'd up IMO
if some people need more training, then get more training.  don't mess it up for the rest of us that handle firearms safely and correctly

So, someone who was certified to teach the new courses early in the timeline
is now stroking the collective ego of those who granted him that early certification?

No surprise. 

I've seen many gun store owners/employees post here that they have to be careful
how pro-2A they demonstrate publicly, since the Police Chief can find a reason to shut
them down or make life hell if they wanted.

There are probably some who welcome state-mandated training ...
so the trainers have a never-ending source of revenue.

Think about how many people already paid for the previous handgun safety course
and now must pay again. 

Repeat customers....

Maybe I am paranoid, but weaponizing government agencies seems to be a fad nowadays.
Correction...
Looking back at history, weaponizing government agencies has always been a favorite tactic.
