The SCOTUS is in the middle of a case that in all likelihood will reduce the number of democrat-controlled seats in the House by as many as 16 seats.

Quote
The U.S. Supreme Court, hearing arguments Wednesday over
a core provision of the Voting Rights Act, appeared inclined to
limit the use of the landmark law to force states to draw electoral
districts favorable to minority voters. The court is expected to rule
by June, though the justices can issue rulings whenever they’re
complete.

The court’s six conservative justices seemed like they would vote
to effectively strike down a Black majority House district in Louisiana
because it relied too heavily on race, as lawyers for Louisiana and
the Trump administration tried to persuade the court to wipe the
district away.

A ruling for Louisiana could open the door for legislatures to redraw
congressional maps across the South, potentially boosting
Republican electoral prospects by eliminating majority Black and
Latino districts that tend to favor Democrats.

It would also make it much harder, if not impossible, to take
account of race in redistricting.

BTW, the last census included undocumented, illegal aliens, because Trump's staff failed to meet a deadline to change the rules and census forms.  That greatly increases the populations of many blue states/cities (think sanctuary) which in turn adds more representatives to the House.

With mass ICE deportations, the enforcement of the Southern border, and self deportations happening, that's bound to also impact the number of Jackasses in the House.

Redrawing districts may reduce the number of districts which reduces the total in the House, or they may be retained but redrawn to make it possible for a republican to win there.  Reducing the population as well as changing the next census forms by the deadline will positively impact House representation significantly.

The next census is 2030.
