That's what irritates me the most.

We could use the various tragedies to focus on effective solutions to violence issues but instead we get this. Utter and obvious ignorance driving a public debate about "gun control" as if that will make anyone safer or reduce crime.

I'm all for safer, just dead certain that these idiots have no idea how to accomplish that. It makes it soooo obvious that this isn't about what's good or right for the county, its about furthering political careers.

What would make us safer and end the mass shootings overnight is universal CCW, an end to "Gun Free Zones" and community fundraisers to provide emergency response training and firearms safety to teachers and school staff. I'm sure the NRA would happily help chip in for the trainings.

Then the liberal cries "But we already have so many guns on the streets. You think more guns is the answer?!" No, the vast majority of those guns aren't "on the streets" they are locked away in a safe or elsewhere in a home. The solution is more guns in the hands of those who chose to look out for their own defense and that of those around them. Big difference. That solution would also reduce ALL forms of crime and is the only thing that will deter the idiotic mass shootings we've been seeing... short of banning and confiscating almost all weapons.

Instead we get "Buy a shotgun and shoot through the door." How, exactly, would that have helped the kids and teachers in Newtown?

What happens when Biden's advice is actually followed:

I would ask my defense attorney to subpoena Joe Biden and I would play the "vice presidents" interview in court.
Your number one Option for Personal Security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

Yup, just following the advice of the VP!
