Kailua Neighborhood Board Meeting
« on: September 29, 2013, 07:12:13 AM »
From the news on TV, this looks like something Kailua gun owners should attend.

Thursday, Oct 4, Kailua Rec Center. Start 7 pm.

If you go, get there early, parking is limited.

The police, the Prosecutor and other politicos will be there.

Senator Thielen supposedly will be there.

Maybe Ikaika Anderson too.  Maybe, Politely mention range improvements?

According to the news 81 car break in and related incidents on one street.

Seems that very pointed questions my be asked.

May or may not be a good time to ask about CCW.

If you do go and need to speak, Be Nice, show some class.

Do Not alienate the politicos.

I will be there.  The Wife has Ordered me Not to cause a HooHaa.

If nothing else, go and see how mini politics works.

A Start to getting Involved.

Nice sell out crowd of 200+ public.  3 news and 1 other camera taping(Olelo?)

HPD & Fire gave boring stats.

Prosecutor Kaneshiro gave a BORING Power Point presentation

Said nothing of note about Crime problem in Kailua or what to do.

Cry babied about prison, legislature and judiciary.  Everything no one cared about.

Was told so by a board member.

Weaseled on a question about "Duty to Retreat".

Seems like he's running for reelection

Got the "feeling" that there was more than one gun owner there.

The "right" moment to mention the "G" word never came up.

The Big thing that bothered me.

Sen Jill Tokuda is bought n Paid for by people that want to Commercially Develop Kawainui Marsh.

Does not believe in Conservation or Preservation of   Kawainui Marsh

By the time developer get thru with project, the Marsh will be a little pond inside the project or close to it.

I have Never seen an Elected Official so blatant about Destruction of a Wetland Habitat.

Pretty much the Entire Board is up in Arms Against her.  Me too.

FYI: She represents Kaneohe, Kaneohe MCAB, portions of Kailua, He'eia and Ahuimanu.

As I've said before, if you can't find some one to Vote For, find some one to Vote Against.

Kailua High School get a canoe practice area from a portion of the marsh!!!!

The 2 Thielens did Not impress me.  Knew who I was because I email them complaints with solution,

Met Ikaika Anderson, informed him of the Gun Show and come down.

Told him when I will be there and Where.  If I'm not there, Who to see.

Introduced myself to several of the more vocal board members.

Was asked if they will see me at meetings?  Told them "most likely"

I think get a few or more of like minded  people to show up and any board could be made to see things differently, over time.

I think that's how liberals take over a place.

It was terrible to see Sen Jill Tokuda talk about destroying the marsh after the years it took to preserve it.

I hope you guys aren't saying Kailua deserves any more police and prosecutor attention than say, Ewa Beach or Wahiawa.  With the high number of illegal rentals (which demand city services but contribute little to the tax  base) and absentee landlords there, politicians and bureaucrats might figure they're justified paying LESS attention to Kailufornia.

Anyone who lives in Enchanted Lake (that's right -- no S) can pipe down about saving Kailua from development. That used to be Kaelepulu Marsh and your home is a blight on the Hawaii I knew.

As for Kawainui: What, are they nuts? Wait for the next rain like 31 Dec 87. Between that and the rise in ocean levels, it will once again  become Kawainui Bay.

No, I am just wondering why the p.o.s. that broke into my friends house, and was caught and arrested, was released just to be arrested again when he was caught committing another home robbery.

What a bunch of double standard loving money grubbing hippies. The left pledges allegiance to Almighty Mother Earth and all the while they've discovered that global warming is actually...global cooling! Idiots. Want to see a liberal's head explode? Start talking facts and not emotions or feelings. They won't know what to do. They can't possibly comprehend something being factual. This state pledges to go green in the name of saving the planet and then we have officials that destroy wetland habitats and give waivers for the birds that are being killed as a result of windmill usage. Man those windmills look so beautiful against the Ko'olaus (see: sarcasm).

I'm so sick of this state and the single party corrupt Democrat system. Hey, Detroit, how's that 40+ years of Democratic rule going for you? I hear those Unions worked out really well! Hey, Chicago, how's that gun control working out for you? Luckily the strict gun laws prevent murders by criminals who obey the laws! Hey DC, how are your gun laws working out for you? Oh that's right, Anacostia in SE DC is one of the most dangerous places in the world (second to the US House).

I don't like pulling the, "where I'm from" card very often, but gimme a break! Tennessee (and others like it, see: Texas) values small business, capitalism, growth, jobs, innovation, and personal freedoms. This state is so backwards, so one sided, so screwed up that it's difficult to even ride a bicycle around here. A permit for riding a bike? I thought the lady at the Satellite City Hall was yanking my chain. What a joke our state leaders are, I mean really. This place (Hawaii) could do so much better! I'm not a resident, so I don't truly have a dog in the fight, but I'd be fighting tooth and nail to get these clowns replaced. The folks here seem just like the people I grew up around in the Southern US; hardworking, honest, good down to earth folks. And they've all been tricked into the left's trap of broken promises and nice sounding rhetoric. The leaders of this state and its communities are such a joke. It is a tragedy that the residents have to endure the asinine rules and regulations imposed on them by the People's Republic of Hawaii.

My orders can't get here fast enough, good luck with the marsh, the gun laws, having to register for damn near everything, needing the state's permission to do anything of merit or value, making three trips to the police headquarters to buy a long gun, not being allowed to shoot fireworks, and the list goes on and on. I've met so many folks visiting Hawaii that were born here but decided to leave this place, as beautiful and special as it is, because they just couldn't take it anymore and found a state where they could flourish. I see so many people in small business and around town and think, "man this guy or girl is really sharp! They'd do so well in Dallas, Nashville, etc."

Hawaii to me will always be one of the most beautiful places in the world that's been tainted by the rule of amateurs who impose their agendas on everyone from the bike rider to the gun owner.

Like I said in another posting,

if you can't vote for someone, vote Against him/her.

Get your friends and neighbors to vote Against that person.

Attend his fundraiser Wearing your, "I'm the NRA" button.  Watch his expression when he sees it.

If that person gets in by a Slim margin, you can bet any strong criticism will be noticed.

Find other groups that will vote against him.

May take time, but it has worked before.

^^^ This.

Obummer and all our crop of politicians were put in place to punish America for turning its back on God.  You'll find this same pattern over and over if you look in history.

yeah man, screw those people who wanted to buy a house for their family to live in.  they must have all personally filled in the marsh themselves, those selfish punks.  all those kids that have been born into households there over the past decades, what a bunch of assholes!  they should just piss off because of you!

That's my point. Most of us recognize that we are all part of the problem  by our presence on this island.  But some folks think they're so special that they don't have to share any of that burden. So their knee-jerk reaction is to oppose any new development. Those who cry loudest about  "stop development" or "keep the country country" are usually the biggest hypocrites. What they mean is "I got my piece of the rock; screw those of you who don't. "  Or "don't fuck with the aina now that I'm here. Never mind what happened before I came."

FYI: On Wednesday,  The City Council OK'd  re-zoning 27 acres allowing expansion of Kapaa Industrial Park.

I do Not know where the 27 acres are located in reference to Kapaa Quarry Road.

If they are expanding where they are Now, I'd say OK.

IF marsh side of the road, NO.
