I like how open minded these people were.

But the vid clearly shows how little people know about anything.  Just like everywhere else in the county, state, US, world; most people tend to believe what gets parroted between people.  Just like that game kids play at school; 30 kids sit in a large circle, one kid turns to his/her left and says a phrase.  The kid who just heard the phrase turns to his/her left and says the phrase and the cycle keeps going on and on until it reaches the last kid.  Majority of the time the phrase is never the same.

isn't a school a gun free zone?  A federal law?

isn't a school a gun free zone?  A federal law?

That depends.  The Gun-Free School Zone act does have exceptions.

If licensed to carry, then it's up to the CCW laws of the state as to what areas are restricted, including a school campus.
Unloaded, locked up, and/or in a vehicle is legal.
On-duty LE or contracted security can carry.
It's legal if you're just passing through a campus as long as you have legal access to enter the campus and traveling toward an off-campus area.

These are some of the federal exceptions.  Check state laws to see what the real restrictions are.
