I tested some colors to get an idea if I want to Cerakote my barrel, rings, rail, receiver, and trigger assembly. Which color do you think looks the best? I do know that Cerakote makes much more colors but these are the ones I bought so far. It just bothers me that the muzzle and barrel is not the same finish and the barrel is shiny which kind of defeats the purpose of camouflage. Any other colors I should try like dark brown?

Gotta agree with everyone else, The Dark OD just does it for me. You know you have issues when someone asks what your favorite color is and your answer is OD Green 

I painted my 10/22 that had rust and looked like hell with that desert tan camo spray paint. Looks ok but it does not really adhere too well.

I do A LOT of camo work with spray paint and I generally prefer Krylon camo line but do use Rust-oleum.  When a spray paint finish gets "worn in" it tends to look more natural.  This IMO is a benefit.  Also a "rattle can" finish is easily removed, changed or touched up.  Cerakote is nicer for a "high end" finish but it has its drawbacks and is not easily touched up.  Just some things to consider.

FWIW - I prefer OD.  It very much blends better here in the islands.  I also prefer a darker color like an OD as a base color for camo and lighter colors overlayed. 

I think the OD and the mixed go nicely with the stock

I like the dark and light olive green colors.  I'm not a fan of tan/fde/coyote brown.  I probably would be if hawaii was a desert, but it's not lol. 

I actually would prefer a flat black.  The original finish IMO is to glossy.
