For one thing, he bought a few on a trip to Las Vegas and brought it back or something.  I believe his daughter is still 17, late December birthday, so no firearm.  I told him about sending his daughter to some Martial Arts like Kajekenbo or something 10 or so years ago because my niece was close to the same age and took judo.

Martial Arts like Kajekenbo and judo for a girl against a single guy much less a few guys is just going to get her hurt as well as raped (possibly killed and raped instead of just raped).  If you don't have a serious force multiplier like a gun, your chances as a young attractive woman against a determined horny male is not so good at best!  Just remember, as a male which rapes a woman, he will be out in just a few years at max but for her, she will live with it until she dies (either by age or by taking her own life depending on how strong she is psychologically)... good luck to everyone!

Martial arts depends on the school/dojo... I took karate as a kid and all they taught was the art "kata" then years later I met a hardcore Kenpo family and they taught the straight forward, effeciant way to shut an aggressor down.
