here's the details-

HDF Range Day: November 30, 2013         Aloha Fellow HDF shooters I am posting up this months Shooting Session;
This month we are holding a 101/ beginner introduction class at 8:00am -8:45. The reason for holding this session first is so that the new people can maybe participate in the rest of the training day if confident enough.
Anybody can attend this portion even the advanced individuals for warm up for the intermediate session. The advance session will start immediatly following the 101 session and go till approx 1pm.

The training for the day will consist of Carbine (150 rounds) and Pistol (150 rounds)approx. You will need a sling for your carbine and a belt holster for your pistol. Also minimum mags for both carbine and pistol  are 2 but recommend up to 5 for both carbine and pistol.
Training for the day will consist of some movement drills, Accuracy torture drills, and cover drills so come ready for another SAFE and exciting fun day with THE HAWAII DEFENSE FOUNDATION.

Attire long pants sturdy belt closed toe shoes a hat to cover you from sun. ear pro / eye pro. Suncreen is a good idea. Bring a lunch and lots of water to hydrate!!!!
FEE Schedule is as follows:
Starting off with the sign in, waivers and fees. everyone must sign in and sign waivers prior to shooting. Everyone! At this time will pay "match fees" collected pior to shooting. Fee schedule as follows HDF current members "match fee" is $10.00.  As For non-members its $20.00 without joininig the HDF, Or they will be encouraged to join the HDF at this time @ $25.00 for membership and then it would be $10.00 for the day total $35.00 so take advantage of this now.
also forgot the free shoot portion of the day fee is $10.00 for anyone coming out just for that portion which is still a "match fee" because the team building portion is the "match" which is at the end of the day.

If anyone has questions post up here so I can answer them... any first time attendees should show up for the 101 even if you are experienced its good warm up also open to the regular shooters good to get equipment situated.

Quick question on caliber. Would it be okay to start out with my .22 (M&P 15-22 & Sig Mosquito) since I'm just starting out and it will easy on the pocket book or do you think I should just leave them at home and bring the AR and 9mm since that's my main weapon systems?

i sent a message to the range day crew to answer

it's a dilemma re:training vs cost
it will depend on how often you plan on attending range days
and on your budget
if you plan on attending regularly, it would not be a problem if you used .22lr a few times in the long run
if you are not able to attend often, you are probably better off using the chance at realistic training using the ammo you will use in a self-defense situation, and saving the .22lr for when you go to the regular range and silhouette side

Carbine, you say?  Well..... that just sounds like too much fun to pas up!
