I'm assuming you are going to tell them that kokohead is an unsanctioned trail, and therefore no one should be hiking on it because of safety? Therefore, because they took our plates, we should take the trail?

Good luck; Daniel has been arguing this point for years, and nothing has changed with regards to the trail. In fact, there are more people hiking on the trail than ever before.  If you can recall, knudnuts already tried to use the hiking trail as a talking point against the range, but failed because it was an unsanctioned trail. If that's your play, be careful because this trail is now a major destination for most tourists and locals alike. You may very well motivate these people to have the trail sanctioned, which will cause more problems for the range, if not cause it to shut down completely due to safety concerns. Its important to remember that more people care about kokohead than they do the range.

I personally wouldn't use kokohead as a bargaining chip, because it seems like it may cause more problems than people may think. But that's my 2 cents.  :shaka:

good point
it's not a bargaining chip, but a talking point
but i thought about the downside and thought it might be worth the risk
but if daniel has already tried that before, i'll skip it

Ok gang. I just got to Hahaione Elem. and I'm going to see what becomes of this. I hope to see some of you here. The more the merrier.  :shaka:

PS- I just took some photos at KHSC to show how ridiculously high you have to aim to get a shot over the mountain, let alone a ricochet. The second is the actual photo of the mountain  taken with my phone.

Just thinking out loud.. could another possibility be that some yahoo nearby was shooting on their own property and the bullet went to that home?

With the possibility of the bullet coming from KH being a very unlikely probability, could a different but simpler explanation be a more likely cause?
I think, therefore I am armed.
