Not to quibble in a bad way, but let's acknowledge that Schatz has NEVER BEEN ELECTED. He was appointed. So I'd prefer to say "Let's make sure Schatz is never elected, not this first time, not even once, not ever".

My bad I forgot......throw Abercrombie out too.....I never liked him even when I was a young kid.  I remember him at "HIPPY" parties in early 60's with my parents.

Yeah, Bloomberg thinks no one needs more than three rounds per firearm/magazine ("If you need more than three, you're a lousy shot."). Although as he retires he's taking his 17 (seventeen) NYPD bodyguards (they'll be retiring and getting their pensions too) with him @$150,000 per year (reportedly), and I'd be willing to bet a very large sum of money that those bodyguards will all likely have more than three rounds in the magazines of their firearms. And I also doubt they will be limited to even 10 round magazines. I wouldn't be surprised that some of them might have fully automatic weapons in their possession on occasion.

Bloomberg's a total hypocrite. Or he's just plain way more important and worth defending that much more than you or I and our families. He has a lot of money ($31 BILLION) and he is willing to spend paltry millions all over the place to influence votes to attempt to impose his vision of the nanny/police state upon we lowly know-nothing citizens.

Not to quibble in a bad way, but let's acknowledge that Schatz has NEVER BEEN ELECTED. He was appointed. So I'd prefer to say "Let's make sure Schatz is never elected, not this first time, not even once, not ever".

I heard they had to do some pretty heavy-handed editing on those commercials to remove the rainbows and unicorns.

That just goes to show what kind of people vote here in hawaii!  sickening...  He pretty must is running on, the so far, 6 years of FAIL of obumnutz and avows his radical progressive-ism, and yet people will still vote him in!!!  godddamn sickening!!!!

The ad completely ignores the fact that the power company contracts to buy a fixed amount of power via wind generation.  In some cases, once the contract is met, the windmills are turned off (even though they would be producing more power).  So while he is fighting for wind farms, it seems futile because the power companies are committed to buying the produce of the wind farms.  I didn't see any mention of that anywhere.  So it would seem his ad is a little misleading.  As I see it, we could have a wind farm on every corner but if the electric company isn't buying the power then yes, I can see the Solyndra thing happening over and over as wind farm after wind farm go BK.

Everybody is drinking the kook-aid,  people too stupid to really search and find out what's going on.  Just like people who pay more than the new MSRP on a used car.  It's online.  Do a bit of searching! 

Look at Hawaii's voting record historically,  not sure when or if that will ever change.  Small minded.

What kind of strategy would you suggest?    Nothing really to do except try to convince as many of my acquaintances and relatives to vote for someone else.... if they care to vote at all....  Even MANY gun people don't care to vote and don't care to be involved with the protection of 2A.  This is why this is so frustrating...  I get out when I can, and do what I can.

I don't know of any strategy that could turn around a result like the last senatorial election: 63% Democrat, 37% Republican... and the Republican outspent the Democrat. I was hoping maybe you had some magical wand or something else I hadn't thought of. Like you say, talking to people and hopefully informing them of the issues is about all one can do, short of organizing "rallies" or "protests", and I'm not really sure that changes any minds of the general voting population, though it could (may, might, conceivably could, etc.) influence a legislator's voting on a particular issue if directed specifically at them. That, or donate a few million to your candidate... which I'm just a little short on at the moment. Not sure how you overcome seriously entrenched special interests (everyone getting "favors" from the current administration). In a place like Hawaii, where the welfare recipients receive the equivalent (cash, medical benefits, food stamps, etc.) of just under $30 an hour wage (#1 in the U.S.), and a huge percentage of the population is employed by the government, there is serious momentum for the status quo.

As you said, it's seriously frustrating, and sickening to see our rights and liberties being sold out.

No one is fired up about the direction this country is taking,  what I mean by no one is that you don't see mass amounts of people talking about it.  I talk to people about it.  I end up offending a lot.  As far as I'm concerned these people are the problem, gun owners who don't vote included.  Vote with your wallet and cast your ballot.  Join the NRA or other like minded liberty group.  Study the constitution, the real document!  Have your kids study it too.  We will all  be extinct soon if not.
