Sounds awesome and those are some pretty trees.  Is it ok to plant them?   I've had various success with various fruit trees and small herbs (cilantro, etc) but failure with tomato (got one big one then it died).  Strawberry tomato grow wild when in season all over the place.  Definitely need a veggie plot but have very challenging terrain to deal with so container gardening is next to try.  I'd like a couple laying hens too but all of this turns into another full time job, know what I mean?  Luckily at the moment is hobby not necessity for survival.

Looks good, Q.

Have you ever tried wicking beds? I've found that it almost rivals aquaponics growth rate and is nowhere near as labor intensive to upkeep.

This system is in that category. Its called the Rain Gutter Grow System, developed by Larry Hall as an alternative to the Global Bucket System. It self-waters via capillary/wicking action, which draws from the water source into the wicking medium/soil.

I was going to do an earthtainer (and I still will), but I'm going to setup some of these probably on the 2nd or 3rd.  Got the products coming already.  If nothing else, I can get the plants in and put the watering portion in afterwards.   I got a room of tomato plants that need a new home lol.

Photo 1 : As you can see, the garden is looking a lot more lush than it did when it was first starting out back in Nov/Dec. I have cut back on utilizing urine as fertilizer, and have switched to utilizing Indigenous Microorganisms (IMO) as my primary source of 'fertilization'. I have two bacterial cultures that I interchange ever other week, and am currently developing a fungal culture as well.

Good call on photo #1
