They are still ASSuming that the bullets originated from the range. The investigation is still open and there is no answer to where those alleged bullets came from. One can not discount the real possibility that people illegally fired from places other than the range i.e. Sandy Beach or wherever one chooses to ILLEGALLY discharge a firearm.
They are painting us as if we are irresponsible criminals when we on the contrary acted more responsibly to the ALLEGATIONS that these bullets came from the range.

A different but parallel analogy can be made in regards to traffic and other life hazards. Let's shut down the freeways till people: quit drinking and driving, hitting pedestrians, speeding...

In fact, we are more responsible than the majority of the drivers out there and with less dangerous results.
We are a smaller, more scrutinized sample of the population of Hawaii just because we own firearms.

Thank you for saying what I was thinking. I have yet to see the result of HPD's investigation into the matter.   We know that these matters are being investigated but we have yet to hear and see the result. See, http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/24163293/improvements-to-be-made-to-rifle-range-after-reports-of-stray-bullets. We should be hounding our public officials for this information. If the investigation shows that the bullets came from someplace other than the range, it would take the wind out of the sails of people trying to shutter the range. If the investigation shows that the bullets did in fact come from the range, the effect would be negligible IMO since this City seems to have already adopted this position as Knudsen and his supporters have. It would also help to gather law enforcement data on reported incidents of gun fire in Honolulu. I am aware that random intentional gunfire occurs with some regularity and more often in the out-lying districts.
