Looks like Toni Robinson is retiring at the end of the month - Is this good or bad for the range and does anyone know if Michele Nekota is pro-gun?

it could go either way
toni robinson was formerly koko head district park supervisor, so she had a good knowledge about the range
she will be missed and we thank her for her service to the city
but we look forward to meeting the new director and working with her to improve the range

My Google fu has determined that Salt Lake County does have a County Shooting Range.

https://wildlife.utah.gov/shooting-centers-home.html

Name: Hendricksen Range (Parleys Canyon)
Location: Salt Lake County
Type: Rifle, pistol
Public Access: Yes
Ownership: S.L. County
Contact: Dave Walker 801-582-6438
Region: Central

From other things I have read the range is also on a mountain side with targets at varying distances up the mountain.

This might be the ranges website, http://www.saltlakecitygunrange.com

Maybe a call to Mr. Walker would be in order to inquire if Ms. Nekota is pro 2a and a range user or supporter?

Just talked to Dave Walker - his range is actually private so he has never talked to the County Parks Director(Nekota) before.

Oh well sorry, I guess that utah.gov page is incorrect then.

Well she was nominated by Caldwell who does show concern for our KHSC.
She went to BYU and so if of the LDS persuasion, they tend to be a bit more "firearm friendly" as recommendations in most LDS prep literature.

Good guess. Mormons tend to be conservative.

Their survival and prep manual is quite extensive.  I mean it breaks down - everything!  It's a good book to have on hand.
