wild dogs

Was eating lunch on a remote east side location. Sorry cannot go into specifics. Heard pig screaming and went to investigate. About 5 medium sized dogs tearing it up. They dragged it back into the jungle as we approached. No collars, no owner. Not regular hunting dogs making lots of noise. SILENT. Watch your children and pets when you go in the woods. They are out there.

I have worked animal control and have dealt with many wild dogs before.  Many these dogs a multiple generations removed from being domesticated.   Basically falling back to near wolves.  They are very very dangerous.  They hunt in packs and are territorial.   I have picked them up in kalama valley, manoa, kalihi, kaahaluu, basically any valleys that have remote areas.  Most of them are not familiar with human contact and will bite or attack out of fear aggression very quick.  Ive had various sized wild dogs from Chihuahua sized to bout 100 lbs. Do not go near or approach, just leave the area especially if camping or hiking.

Need a clause in our HRS to be able to legally take these wild dogs/cats/etc when they are in our hunting areas.

My niece brought home one a injured Chihuahua and nursed it back to health. Once it regained it strength it was a terror.  I suspected it was a wild dog.
