Gates at Mokua

Try going hunting on Saturday and gates locked for Mokua no notice posted for area being closed anyone know anything about this.

Mokua  is not a listed hunting area.
Makua is not a listed hunting area.

Makua/keau is a designated hunting area, or at least it was. But I haven't been back for a while.
You talking about the place behind the queen liliuokalani center by keau beach right?
Last I heard when I was working with the state guys they didn't give out the key anymore. Try call the office and see though.
It's a long walk but super nice back there.

I just got in the DLNR website and there hasn't been changes posted for the areas as listed its unit g.  Ya right by keau beach. Last time was there was in January or February and gates were opened. It's a far walk from were you park even more when gates are closed to be hiking for goats. Called the offices no responses, Egh no worries no mo. I just hunt somewhere else its too far of drive from windward side.

Heard via DLNR, Biologist JM has been real busy working other duties. Glad it's been wet this season real green. Hope it opens for
bird season. Just gotta see.
