Headed that way(KHSC) in a little bit...

Spent a few hours and many rounds sighting in my two new hand guns on the pistol range. Thanks to an old friend for helping me out since I'm new to this. I hadn't seen him and/or his wife for 16 years when we last worked together and come to find out they are regulars there on the weekend. Very pleasant surprise. Range itself was not anywhere near capacity so there was plenty of room for a new guy like me. Had a great time and put a hundred rounds through my 1911 and 160 rounds through my revolver. ROs didn't have to yell at me at all! 

BTW, left at 11:45 and traffic was stopped up from Hawaii Kai to the freeway. Took an extra hour to get home...

It is one of my best friends. They rushed him to Queens. The shrapnel entered up into his abdomen and hit kidney. I understand it was an arterial wound as well. I heard he was bleeding pretty badly.

The shooter was on the ground next to his bench shooting a 9mm which is how the shrapnel went up into his abdomen.

Wow! Hope he's ok!

Thoughts and prayers for your buddy, Inspector.  Hope he pulls through and heals quickly!

I was at the pistol range with my wife (was her first time and my second).  I purposely put only one round in the mag so she could get her first shot out of her system and take time to relax.  After that she asked to shoot 2, then 3, then I couldn't load the mags fast enough, lol.  She saw how everyone practiced gun safety and the 2a community was filled with friendly and helpful people.  Mahalo to the ROs who were nice enough to give her advice and show her how to grip the pistol! That really made her comfortable.  She even asked me to get in her in a class so she could get her own pistol.  Mahalo to everyone that was there!

We'll be back on Sunday!
