I hate to be a wet blanket, but I'd like to know the value of the scholorship and what portion of the proceeds are going to the "kids."

It is one thing to donate all or most of the proceeds to a deserving school, it is another to devise a revenue generating event using the draw of a charitable event and then donate only a small amount. I'm not saying that's the case here but I had previously asked what percentage of the draw would actually go to the schools and it was never really answered......

@HICarry-  Not a problem. You are right many companies tend to blanket how they help. Here at Royal Hawaiian Shooting Club, we support our youth shooters as much as possible. We are a proud sponsor and support of the OIA Air Rifle League along with NRA and FNRA. Without organizations like NRA, FNRA and our company; the public schools would not be able to have a league. In regards to this event. The Remington College scholarship is up to $2000. The high schools will also be fundraising at booths at the event. In regards to the portion of the proceeds to be donated. We hope to donate at least 50% and it maybe all. This also depends on our sponsors and those assisting to cover the expenses for the event. As long as the expenses are covered, Royal Hawaiian Shooting Club will graciously donate to support our youth. Thank you for your concern in this regards.

@HICarry-  This fundraising is in specific for the funds of a new range at the schools who are seeking them. Unfortunately, the Board of Education does not seem to keen on supporting funds for these areas.

Tell ya what... if you guys want to get a team together, I will play.  One condition... I want to use my .357 single action revolver.  Some may consider that a handicap, especially on the rapid fire, but HiCarry and OldGuy can speak to my overall efficacy against bowling pins with my Blackhawks!

I noticed that you posted that the National Guard is a sponsor. The strange thing is that I am the coordinator for all marksmanship competitions for the Hawaii National Guard and I no requests for this competition came through my office.
Who is your supposed point of contact from the National Guard for this event?
