First of all Glock advises you not to shoot reloaded ammo in their guns.

Second, why would you fire reloaded ammo that you didn't load yourself? I wouldn't.

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

^^^Depending on the quality of the company (such as Black Hills) reloads are a viable alternative.

I think the admonition on shooting reloads is probably a CYA move by Glock.  That way if you blow your gun up with your own loads, they told you not to do that.  If you blow it up using factory ammo, it's the ammo manufacturer's fault.  Anywho, my dear old dad told me many moons ago not to shoot anybody else's hand loads.  Except his, of course, although he never shot mine... ??? lol  I've been on the intertubes all day today looking over reloading gear and looking forward to getting the cash on hand to place the order.  Gonna reload for my 45 acp.

+1 on the Dillon eqpt., especially if you load a bunch. I would, however, make sure you check the case after whatever station is your powder drop.  I would no matter what reloading press I use.  No sense in taking chances for the sake of loading faster.  Scary stuff, though I don't load .40.  I load light both for 9mm and .45, but I would hate to have a KB in either.  Its not just the fact that your gun may be damaged, you may be hurt, or friend/family who is shooting your gun may be injured, its the fact that anyone around you is also in jeopardy.
Reloading is a great way to save money, make more accurate ammo, or just enjoy a different facet of the shooting sports, however, it does demand additional attention to detail.

This is the list I've compiled so far: Lee Classic Cast single-stage with their breech lock bushings, plus extra bushings so I can swap out dies without re-adjusting them; 4 carbide die set for my .45 from Lee, Lyman case prep tool for chamfering, primer pocket cleaning, etc; RCBS Uniflow thrower with the add-on micrometer adjustment; RCBS 502 scale; RCBS hand primer; and finally; 1,000 rounds worth of MTM boxes to put it all in.  Grand total from MidwayUSA is going to be right about $453.  I think the single-stage will work pretty good.  It'll be slow, but that's ok, I liked doing the job with the old man back in the day, and I've only grown more patient since, plus someday if I decide to get into benchrest shooting (big in MT) I'll have a press with no play.  Oh, yeah, I forgot a decent set of calipers, so put the grand total more like $480.  Anything I'm forgetting?  I think it's going to be a pretty good setup that will do what I need it to, and I can always expand/upgrade!

if you're gonna go with Midway, wait for their 10% off deals, they have it every so often.  You'd save bout 40bucks on that order.  Just sign up for their newsletter on their website.

Good call.  I'll be sure and get on their email list. I saw that West Side Guns has quite a bit of reloading stuff, but I didn't look at prices. Are they or anyone else have competitive prices for that sort of stuff? I'd love to support the shooting community out here.

I can get dealer prices from Brownells with military Id. Dillon parts/products from WGS (dealer) is good and OGC can get it for the same. We got our setup from OGC. Carter really made it a no-nonsense deal and we are crankem out often.

I reload 9mm 40sw, 38SPC, 357, 44MAG, 45 ACP and starting on .233/5.56. Would really like to get a group of reloaders together here on this site.
I have a ton of brass in all above listed calibers if you need to grab some for cheaper than internet dealers.

I have the Lee Turret Press.  I love it.  I actually wanted the Dillon progressive but the setup would have been too big to hide from the wife...  :D.  I just

Vood... you wouldn't happen to have any .308 brass?

On another note, I just ordered the stainless steel Thumler to shine the brass.  Cabela.com has $5.00 shipping for anything.  I think it ends today though, but I've heard they have it often.

Ohhhh.... LOL.  I'll take what I can get. Right now, I only have about 60 and that's only from the 3 boxes of ammo I bought from young guns.

I'll probably order some online then.

Thanks though.

I'd becareful with reloading range pick-up rifle brass...

higher pressures in those rifle loads can be dangerous.
