I am not a big Ben Carson fan. But I would rather see him as the Republican front runner over Trump. I was sure this was going to happen. Trump peaked already and has no where to go but down. And as other candidates drop out you will start seeing more and more support going towards better qualified candidates. Leaving Trump in the dust. It is still early so I think we will see other candidates start to come on strong as the weaker candidates continue to drop out.
For me, the real debates will occur when there are only 2 or 3 real strong candidates left.
Bye bye Trump......
I haven't been a Carson fan either. As I've said before, he's reminded me way too much of Carter. That being said, he's turned up the fire recently and I'm enjoying watching the media dance on a hotplate.
Trump blew it.
He got caught up in his own show and has failed to produce realistic policy. Still, his message resonates with the public, and I think he deserves a great deal of credit for speaking his mind and making it "OK" for the rest of the candidates to call out the democrats and the "establishment" republicans on the issues that really concern us. Something I don't think would've happened had he not decided to run. He's given a boost of testosterone to the republicans, much needed after the years of cry baby Boehner and Bitch McConnell.
If we're to see any "real" change I think we desperately need someone that's not a "professional politician" in office. No, I'm not concerned that this someone doesn't know "how things work" in our government, I'm actually counting on it. As things stand now the only thing working in our government is the fact that we're getting worked.
It's long past time to change that and get back to the principles outlined in the Constitution.
