Great company and prices!  Not only do they ship to Hawaii, shipping is only $5.99!!  If you subscribe to their newsletter, you'll usually get a coupon code for free shipping, too.

I bought a holster/grip for my NAA derringer, and a Sig 1911 Nightmare from them.  Even with a flat $5.99 shipping cost, the firearm shipped UPS 3-day.  Shipped on the 1st - delivered on the 4th to my FFL.

Aloha!

i think its $5.99 only for handguns to hawaii, they quoted me shipping for a long shotgun at $40-$50 to hawaii.  is this right? or have you paid $5.99 for shipping a long gun from grabagun before?

No, I haven't purchased more than the one 1911.

You didn't add any ammo to the purchase?  There's a $40 HAZMAT fee tacked onto ammo purchases.

Grab-a-gun has a "12 Days of Christmas" sale going on.  Today's special happens to be a rifle:  Bushmaster XM-15 M4A2 Type Patrolman 5.56/.223 16-inch 30rd

I placed it in my cart, logged in, and selected the flat rate shipping:

Same online process I used with the 1911.

That's as much as I know.  I would suggest you create an account if you haven't, sign up for promo emails, and make the purchase via the online form.  Seemed to work for me up until actually making the purchase.

Hope that's helpful!

I was gonna ask if they ship ammo to Hawaii, but it looks like they don't sell any.

I saw the HAZMAT listed in the terms and conditions: shipping.  Didn't see anything about extra costs for Alaska or Hawaii there, either.

EDIT:  After reading more closely, they do request you email them for shipping costs if you are outside the lower 48.

So, maybe it's one of those things where it depends on who's filling the orders that day?

If you mean the 1911 with item # 96323, here is a video.  There's a link in the  comments to the Gallery of Guns listing verifying it's the same item # as on GrabAGun.

when they quoted me via email,  they estimated shipping would be $40-$50 EXTRA, i assume EXTRA refers to additional cost ON TOP of $5.99, which is the only shipping option available, i assume if your were to proceed to checkout that there might be a notice that stipulates the additional charge for shipping long guns to Hawaii/outside of 48 contiguous.

The Sig 1911 Nightmare 5" is bad@$$!!  It's like it was made to fit my hand.  Hefty, but not heavy.  Balanced and tight tolerances.  Not to mention the black and silver colors just make the pistol much better looking than your ordinary 1911 models (IMHO).

I've taken it out once and run 100 rounds through it.  Functioned 100% as a new Sig ought to, and didn't punish my hand & arm at all.

Picked up a couple of 8rd Wilson Combat Elite Tactical Magazines, and they fit perfectly.  Sig made some ergonomic enhancements in the design that supposedly make a big difference compared to the age-old specs.  Since this is my first .45 1911, I can't really do a comparison.

The only thing I have heard about this 1911 was the external ejector having problems for a short time, but seems to have been corrected.  Should be no issue for new guns, just do some research on used ones to see if they fall in that group.

The slide is slightly wider than a Colt or Remington, so be careful which holsters you choose.
